215 Berger Hybrid / 300 win mag help

I'm about to start loading the 215 Berger hybrids. I called Berger and it was recommended I start .005 off the lands. So, I'll start there. With H1000.

Can anyone comment on their loads and what grains has worked best and at what depth. I plan on working for it, but like to know what others are getting.

Awesome combo. I’m on my second barrel with this bullet and cartridge. I have had best results with .010-.015” Jump and full charge of H1000 with Peterson Brass I run 76.0grs H1000 3,030fps our of my 28” 1-9” hart. With Nosler Brass I ran 77.0grs. Accuracy is awesome as well as terminal performance. Taken game from 290 yards to 1,034 Yards. Super easy bullet to tune.

Start out low and work up to a desired load. Check your primers for pressure signs. Invest in a good set of dies, because too much pressure will bulge the bottom of the brass. Larry willis makes a die to remove this.

I run 77 grains of H1000 out mine with 28” barrel 10-1 twist. Primer pockets will start to loosen around 5-8 shots.
