20PPC

Hello, I'm wanting to build a 20PPC to do what my 17AH cannot. I love my 17AH out to 150-200 yards on the coyotes, but for the hunts that require a lengthy stand, better trajectory and distance is required (300-400 yards).

I've been looking at the Stolle panda actions, but I want to confirm this is a good candidate for the .220 Russian case.

Can you make some recommendations on some actions that would make a nice custom build for my 20PPC?

I really like the BAT SV for the ppc case,I also can recommend the Stiller Predator for the ppc and BR case.You will like the 20 ppc

FWIW, any custom action that is used in BR competition would be an excellent choice. However, for a field oriented rifle, I lean heavily toward an all SS action with the bolt handle integral to the bolt a la Nesika, Defiance, some Bordens, probably others. If you can find someone unloading one of the older Nesika or Borden/Nesika PPC actions/rifles would be your best bet bargain for the PPC based cartridge. Also, you might consider the 20-223AI instead of the 20PPC. It is a lot easier to live with & has essentially the same performance. For a barrel I would currently choose an X-Caliber 3G11 for 20 cal.

I like the 20-223AI suggestion, I have a single shot stiller predator that I have waiting on me to make a decision on in terms of 20 caliber options. 20TAC, PRACTICAL, 20-223, etc. the 20-223 is appealing in terms of reloading, not a whole lot going on with case prepping/forming - UNlike my 17AH. It seems to be pretty straight forward with minimal steps. I'll truly like that when comparing it to the pretty extensive work of the 17AH reloading.

20 Practical (.20-.223) for me, in process of a build now. Maybe we could share cost of the reamer and both use it? I am using Green Mountain barrel for my project. Purchased a 25" 20 cal blank already, it looks great so far. My GM .223ai shoots 1 moa @100yrds with factory rounds that i fire form so i expect it will do better than that with a worked up load.
i purchased a redding type s die and used a 20cal bushing and formed a few cases already, min cost as i already had dies for the .223
