20MOA Question?

I have a set of Burris Signature rings, and a offset set of inserts for them. I'm wanting to get 20MOA for long range shooting. I've put the +20 insert on the bottom of the rear scope ring, with the -20 insert on top of it. I have the front inserts installed with a set of 0 inserts. It seems to angle the scope, and makes the rear a little too high. My question is,could I use a +10 insert on the rear with a -10 insert on top,and a -10 insert on the front with a +10 insert on top in the front ring for the same +20 effect, rear 10 higher, and front 10 lower)? I would like to get the scope a little lower for a better cheek weld. Will this have the same effect as just using the +20 in the rear ring? Thanks Ron

If you are not comfortable with the scope, using 0.020, then dropping the rear of the scope down 0.010",that's ONE HUNDREDTH OF AN INCH) isn't going to help... you have other problems.

I've set the scope up with 10+ in the rear rings, and 10- in the front rings. My scope is supposed to have 60,MOA) of adjustment. I'm guessing that's overall,30 up,and 30 down. I guess the best way to find out if it's enough,is to just shoot at long yardage and see if I run out of adjustment. Ron
