20cal 39gr blitzkings for coyotes

I have not tried the ballistic tips yet, just got done shooting some 35 bergers in the wind again, 10-15 mph wind they are drifting over 6" at 200, 6xc with 70 blitzkings are drifting about 2-1/2".

I have had splashes on shots under 80 yards with the 39gr blitz kings in my 204. I now use a 20 vartarg and 40gr Berger's and haven't had any issues since going to the Berger's.

This has been my experience with the 39 SBK’s. Too many of the coyotes I shoot are 60-100 yard range and splashes irritate me. The farthest coyote I shot this season was 325 yards and terminal performance was excellent. If most of your shots are over 100 yards I think you will like the 39 SBK.

My CZ527 will be getting a new custom barrel this spring and I’ll be looking to try the 40 Berger’s in it for a little better performance in the wind compared to the 35’s, but less than the 39 SBK. Hopefully the 40 will be a compromise in close range performance and ballistic coefficient.

The 40s seem to kill as good for me as the 35s.

Looking for results on coyotes with this bullet in 204 ruger, presently using 35 and 40 gr bergers but would like some better BC, my gun isn't liking the 32gr blitzkings as well as I would like either.

On my bolt action, 39 gr. Blitzkings/26.8 IMR8208/Rem 7 1/2 works very well ... The only weird thing is when a coyote gets within 75 yds of my FoxPro, "Wacky Woodpecker" automatically switches to ACDC "Thunderstruck" .. Pounds em'... Mosquito bite entry with no exit.... 3850 FPS +/- chrono'd..... Great all temperature accuracy to boot.....
On the 32 (Blitzkings) my load is 28.6gr. IMR8208... Same other components. .. Of course exercise precaution on my/everyone's loads..

39 BKs for pdogs, 40 Bergers for coyotes.
BlitzKings would splash on coyotes for me.

I have a factory barreled cz 527 varmint and have had great luck on coyotes inside 200yds with a 40g vmax. Don’t get me wrong this is Not a bullet for benchrest in this Rifle! There is no exit though and drops em quick. All other work is done with a 39g sbk over 30g blc 2 @3800
