.204 Ruger loaded nk. dia.

Does anyone have loaded dia. for different brands of .204 Ruger brass. I want to have a reamer made.
Thanks Glenn

Glenn--I only used my caliper for these measurements and not my Mitutoyo mic, so these are ROUGH measurements. My 35 gr. FBHP Berger loads in twice-fired Hornady brass neck sized with my Redding Type S bushing neck sizing die measure .226". My 39 gr. Sierra BK loads in twice-fired WW brass and neck sized with my Lee collet neck sizing die measure .2265" as do my 40 gr. Sierra loads in twice-fired WW brass and neck sized with my Redding Type S bushing neck sizing die.

You might want to search around and find information on Todd Kindler's .204 Ruger Match print from somewhere back around the end of October 2004. That print shows the reamer at .230" at the neck. The .204 Ruger SAAMI print shows that reamer at .232" at the neck. The lead and throat are much shorter on Kindler's Match print too. Pacific tool has the measurements for both those reamers and I think if you talked to Dave Kiff at Pacific Tool,541-626-5808) he would be a great help to you.

I hope that helps.

I have both prints from Dave, I just wanted to make sure a .230 nk. was a no turn. I ordered a Bartlien 1-11.5 5 grove today, and a Rem. varmint McMillian for a XP100.The barrel is a hvy. sport .700 @ 24". I plan to use 39& 40 gr. only.
Thanks Glenn
