Hi All,

Wow, what a great day for a match. High temps of around 62 (a little colder early on), mild wind conditions, and a beautiful sunny day. You couldn't ask for too much better. We ended up with 43 shooters in all, with 23 F-T/R shooters, and 20 F-Open shooters.

There were some REALLY GOOD scores fired today, and I would love to drone on, but I have stuff to get ready for tomorrow, so this will be an abbreviated match report.

In F-Open, on the 800 Yard line:
Dan Maple pulled out a 150-26X in Match 1, to potentially set a new Open National Record -Well Done, Dan.
Henry Ferris fired a 150-19X in match 2, to potentially set a new Senior National Record -Also, Well Done, Henry!
Jack Neith fired a pair of 150-14X matches in Match 1 and Match 2, to potentially set a new Grand Senior and Veteran National Record -Well Done, Jack!
Shiloh Plue shot a very nice 150-13X in Match 1, to potentially set a new Junior and Women's National Record. Well Done, young lady!
Gwen Basalla tied with Shiloh,(also Match 1) and will likely co-hold that potenial Women's National Record. Well Done, Gwen!
Adam Scholl fired a nice 15-11X to potentially set a new Military/Service National Record -nice shooting, Adam!

Over in F-T/R the story was similar -some big numbers put up today:
Keith Trap posted a nice 150-26X in Match 2, to potentially set a new Open, Civilian, and Veteran National Record -Well Done, Keith!
Todd Norfleet posted a nice 150-14X in Match 1, to potentially set a new Grand Senior National Record, and will likely co-hold a Civilian record -Nice Shooting, Todd!
Drew Rutherford, and Ryan Crozier also posted 150-14X scores (both in Match 2) to potentially co-hold a Civilian National Record with Todd -great shooting guys!
Ramsey Abid fired a nice 150-13X in Match 2, to potentially set a Senior National Record -Well Done, Ramsey!
Dale Lucy fired a nice 150-13X in Match 1, and will potentially co-hold the Senior National Record with Ramsey. Well Done, Dale!

Please note that I am absolutely NOT an expert in how National Match Records are held, or how many categories one can hold simultaneously, so don't take my ramblings above as Gospel (besides, I'm pooped). Suffice it to say a lot of great scores were posted today!

I 'think' I have a better understanding of the National Record criteria now, and hope that the corrections made above are, in fact, correct. The strikethroughs are my recent edits, and reflect my (hopefully) correct understanding of the record process -that said, Ryan, Todd, and Drew shot GREAT scores in any event.

The Day 1 results are attached to this post, as well as my summation of records tied or established today.
If you missed this match, you missed a great day of shooting.

Let's see what tomorrow and the 900 yard line bring.

Hello again, all.

WOW -today was pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday, except it was a little bit cooler this morning -frost on the windshield of the range truck indicated to me that cold weather is coming (Boo Hiss).

It was, though, another BlueBird day, and a great day to be out on the range with friends and fellow competitors. It was also a great day to shoot some awesome scores, and break a few National Records again. It looks to me like a total of 14 National Records were potentially broken today! Hokey Smokes, Bullwinkle! These records (and scores) are all from the 900 yard line.

I will start with F-T/R today;
Brad Sauve and Nick Tubito both posted very nice 150-10X scores today, and that sets them up to potentially set New National Records in; Open and Civilian (co-hold) and Senior (Brad Sauve). Nice shooting guys!
Kim Rowe shot a nice 149-7X to potentially set a new Women's National Record. Well Done, Kim!
Todd Norfleet posted a very nice 150-9X, to potentially set a new Grand Senior National Record. Great shooting Todd!
Last, but certainly not least, Jim Crofts posted a nice 150-9X to potentially set a new Veteran National Record. Well Done, Jim!

Over in F-Open Land, they had a pretty good day too;
Mike Drass posted a very nice 150-14X to potentially set a new Open, Senior, and Civilian National Record. Nicely Done, young man!
Adam Scholl put up a nice 149-8X, to potentially set a new Military/Service National Record. Well Done, Adam!
Gwen Basalla and Shiloh Plue were on fire today, with both of them posting 150-13X matches to potentially set and likely co-hold a new Women's National Record. Shoot like a Girl! If you can! Well Done, Ladies!!
As you might imagine, that score will also put Shiloh in place to potentially set a new Junior National Record. Well Done!
Grand Seniors Jack Neith and Herb Egberts fired matches of 150-12X to potentially set and co-hold a new Grand Senior National Record, with that same score putting Jack in position to potentially set a new Veteran National Record. Well Done, Gentlemen!

The Day 2 (900 yard) results are attached to this post, as well as my summation of records tied or established today.

I am also including the 2-Day aggregate, but, as usual, I have a lot to do before morning, so I will forego babbling about it, except to say that there are a LOT of GREAT scores being shot this weekend.

If you missed this match, you missed another great day of shooting.

Let's see what tomorrow and the 1000 yard line bring.

I should have mentioned earlier that this National Match is being held at the Bridgeville Rifle and Pistol Club, in sunny Bridgeville, Delaware :) https://brpc-de.com/

Hi Again,

Sorry for the delay, but yesterday was a bit full, and by the end of the match, I was pooped.
We had ANOTHER great day to be on the range -again, a bit cold in the morning, but the sun soon showed up and warmed us up nicely. Mild conditions again too, and that is, I think reflected in some great scores and more records potentially broken or tied, including Team Records.

Speaking of Records, by my poor count there were a grand total of 57 National Records potentially set this past week. The gals at the NRA are going to be busy!!

The two posts above give a pretty good summary of the 800 and 900 yard results, so I won't re-hash them here, and I am holding off on 'color commentary' because there will be an article forthcoming in Shooting Sports USA in the near future. Perhaps some of the competitors can reply to this thread to add some spice to the results.

At any rate, in F-Open land, things were tight at the top;
Henry Ferris posted a very nice 449-25X score in the 1,000 yard aggregate and sealed the deal on the Overall Aggregate, turning in a very nice 1347-97X for the Win. Well Done, Henry -Congratulations!
Matt Basalla wasn't too far behind, posting a nice 447-23X for his trip to the 1,000 yard line, and taking second overall with a 1346-93X. Very Nice shooting, Matt! Congratulations!
Mike Eash, without the aid of his Racing Saw, shot a nice 448-23X from the 1,000 yard line, and locked in a very nice third place finish, with a total score of 1346-92X. Super-good, Mike! Congratulations!

Shifting gears a little bit and going over to F-T/R, things were equally tight at the top, and DANGED close to the F-Open scores! Pretty good stuff for the ole .308!
Tracy Hogg posted a pretty sweet 445-23X from the 1,000 yard line, and that was enough to secure the top spot for the Overall Win, at 1343-68X. Well Done, Tracy!! Congratulations!
Keith Trapp punched out a very nice 447-13X for the win at the 1,000 yard line. That score, combined with the rest of the week, earned him the #2 spot for the Overall, with a combined score of 1342-59X. Nicely Done, Keith! Congratulations!
Todd Strasavich had a pretty outstanding week, and turned in a nice 446-18X at the 1,000 yard line, with that score securing him the third place Medal for his efforts, with a very nice 1340-66X Aggregate score. Well Done, Todd! Congratulations!

Really shifting gears now, we had a total of 7 teams for the Team Match portion of our show;
Three Open Teams and four F-T/R Teams.
The F-Open Team of 'TriggerFish' posted a very nice 1793-118X for the win, and potentially set a new TEAM F-Open National Record of 1793-118X. Nicely done for sure, and Congratulations!
At the end of the day, Team 'USA F-T/R Vortex' took the win in T/R, and potentially set a new TEAM National Match Record for T/R, firing a combined 1790-117X. Well Done, and Congratulations!

I am attaching all the rest of the results to this post, including the rest of the Potential National Match Records set or broken this week. I hope you enjoy looking at them. I know the guys and gals enjoyed setting them!

I reserve the right to still have some errors in the results, and hope that the people involved will let me know if they spot anything amiss -I will do my best to correct any 'issues' that pop up (including spelling :).

I have said this before, but it bears repeating -if you didn't shoot with us last week, you missed a few awesome days to be on the range!

Hopefully they will be posted next couple months. Our results from our state LR championship in June have not even been posted.
