Johnson City, TN, has an airport nearby called
Tri-Cities Regional Airport (TRI), which is a full-service airport serving the entire Tri-Cities area. It is located in nearby Blountville and offers nonstop flights to several major US hubs.

The airport is a fairly nice airport and I was surprised at just how many carriers fly in there.

Tri-Cities airport is only 20 miles from Kettlefoot with about 15 miles being interstate 81. The range is an additional 4 1/2 - 5 miles off the interstate. The same exit to Kettlefoot has a new Hard Rock Casino 1 mile in the opposite direction from the interstate. There are several hotels at the Pinnacle shopping complex which has a Bass Pro Shop/Cabelas store along with several places to eat. This shopping complex is 2 miles before the Kettlefoot exit. Lots to see and do if you come in early for the match or stay a little while after the match.

Thanks. Have to check on flights/costs. This year, my first competing, I am currently #11 in ARA Outdoor Factory Aggregate. I have never tried indoor but would really like to try.

It is different from outdoor shooting. It amazes everyone their first time. You would think just aim and shoot. Outside you can see the wind with flags but inside you can’t see the changes as the bullet races through those pockets of hot and cold air from the firing line to the target. Hold points change across a card and from row to row. Hard to explain until you try it.

Thank you to all 47 shooters who traveled to Kettlefoot for the ABRA Nationals. It was a great match. Congratulations to all of our winners. We hope you will visit for some regular matches if possible and plan on coming back for next years national event..!!
