This past weekend was the 2nd Annual Walt Berger Memorial Match. It was another great match and the format was once again well accepted by the shooters. Lester Bruno and Lou Murdica donated $1000 each as prize money to go back to the shooters. 17 of the 27 shooters that attended the match won money. For those not aware of the match format. The match is a 3 gun short range group match with unlimited on Friday, Light Varmint on Saturday, and Heavy Varmint on Sunday. The range is split in half and half the competitors shoots the 200 yard agg while the other half shoots the 100 agg then the competitors switch. This allows the competitors to pair up and place their flags once for the whole weekend, and the target frames and moving backers only have to be set up once.
Walt Berger always said that if you are not having fun then why are you doing it. This match is to honor that, and create a fun atmosphere for competitors
