2020 Nebraska Mid Range Championship

Hello F Class and HP Midrange Shooters.
This is to notify you that registration for the NE Mid Range Championship (22-23 August, 2020) is OPEN on Practiscore.
https://practiscore.com/2020-nebraska-state-mid-range-600-yard-championship-clone/register

Since this is a Nebraska event we want to make sure that all residents who want to shoot have a chance. Therefore for the first three days (72 hours) NE residents will have first crack at the slots, and after that all registrations will be accepted regardless of residence on a first come first serve basis. To be clear and transparent, out of state shooters may sign up on Practiscore currently, but their names will not be accepted until the 72 hours have expired, and then we will go by date and time of sign up. In the past, this event has not filled up and in my opinion it won’t be full this time either, but we have to plan for a worst case scenario. Since sling shooters are also taking part, we can expect additional interest.

The bulletin for this match can be found at http://www.nebraskafclass.com (and is attached) the same information is also located on Practiscore. At present the NRA is not sanctioning matches and we do not know what they will do in August. In the event that they are still not doing so we will run the match as an ENGC Club Match and hold an Unofficial NE Championship.

Comfort Suites Bellvue is a pretty decent hotel, close to some restaurants and not far from the range.

Brian, If it weren't a 20 hour drive, I'd be there!

Shooters - we still have plenty of room for additional participants. I took a few photos of the range and covered firing line; ENGC is really a very fine shooting facility. We currently have 30 shooters registered, I believe the correct breakdown so far is F-Open: 12, F-TR: 14, Conventional (Sling): 4. There will be some very fine shooters attending this match, and I expect the competition will extremely tough. Although temps can be warm here in August, the average might be somewhere in the mid 80s, and the covered firing line provides plenty of relief for those that might be concerned with the heat. In addition, we will have a very unique set of trophies, made by Dave Cole, one of our F-Class shooters. They have been hand-crafted from different hardwoods, and are different for each place finish. I doubt anyone will ever receive a more unique trophy for their collection. I have posted an image of a completed 2nd Place trophy below next to boxes of Berger 215 Hybrids for scale.

Y'all get signed up and come on out, we're going to have a great time!

We still have plenty of spots open for this match, which is coming up in about a week and a half. Our current sponsors/contributors include:

21st Century

Brux

Kelbly's

We would like to thank these sponsors for their generous support of our match. We currently have 42 shooters registered and I hope more will sign up to participate between now and the match date. I look forward to seeing everyone!

Approval Info

We have not approved you to shoot yet. You will receive an email when you have been approved

On the last email I have received. Buddy getting same thing. Oversight, or approval coming soon?

I am not personally doing the squadding or tinkering with PractiScore, but anyone that has paid should currently be "in". We are still a quite a way from the maximum capacity. I expect that everyone currently signed up should receive confirmation soon, and I will ping my fellow event coordinator that is handling that aspect of the match about it today. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Thanks so much. I won’t worry about it then. My first time with practiscore. See you down there!

Ned Ludd is there any open practice on Friday?
We are working on getting something setup for that. It might be fairly minimal, such as having a ShotMarker or two out there for folks to take a few shots to establish zeros and get a feel for the range, but I'm looking into it. I will get back here with further details by Sunday or Monday. Thanks for bringing this issue to my attention, I personally rarely ever do any sight-in or practice the night before a match, and this was not on my radar until now.
