2019 F Class Mid Range Nationals

And they pulled this after I get a laser of a .223 shooting good specifically for the 300yd and 500yd matches. Well, at least I won't have to move my gear around a bunch.

Popular demand, I’m okay with that. I think these minor changes are needed to split up the big shots and help the target crew.

Looks like the campaign worked..mid-range is mid-range and that is 300, 500, and 600...shooting at 300 and 500 lost a lot of matches for people. Keep changing the sport to fit whims, or because you don't like moving gear. I'd be real curious as to how many people signed the petition because I looked at it at nationals, and there weren't that many signatures. It appears that once again, a few have made the decision for many, instead of national vote of some sort.

Long range was 800, 900 and 1000 until the powers that be decided to shoot it all at 1K. I don't believe there was a vote on that either. Doesn't look to me like it's hurt the sport.

I'm referring to Nationals only..clubs should have whatever yardages they want...a US National Championship mid-range event should be just that-mid-ranges 300, 500 and 600, likes it's always been. I HATE moving gear between yardages, but it's how our mid-range Nationals has been since I can remember.,. Who made these decisions is my question? Based on who's input? Shooter from across nation, just shooters that could attend nationals, or as it appears, the decision was just made for us once again..

Jim, If I recall correctly there was a petition started on this site that was also available to sign (same form was on the registration tables) at Nats. I don't know if that petition was aggregated and sent to the comp. board.

Jim, as I recall, long range at nationals was 8,9 and 1K until 2012? I remember shooting that course of fire till Nat's and worlds were held in Raton in 2013. Larry B. please correct me if I'm wrong.

No matter what course fire is our (son and I) will be attending our first National event and look forward to meeting and shooting with everyone. The people that go is what make events like this to appreciate the class of competitors and all they do for this sport. We look forward to making new friends and having a good time.
