2018 Spring MR & F-class Match - Van Meter, IA

The rumor I heard was that Jeff won Fopen (great job, Jeff) and Steve Ernst matched his record setting/tying 200-16x on the last relay. Nice. Drew

I was scoring for Steve on that last relay. Pretty sweet watching it. He was definitely hammering the x-ring. I would have been bested by him for the day by 1 point had it not been for a wild 7 out of nowhere. Didn't get close to the eight ring all day. I'm am still scratching my head on that one.

Thanks Drew. I did win overall for the day. Steve definitely shot the last match with some authority that's for sure. Congratulations Steve. I also took a good friend Walter, who loves shooting along to help get some new brass cycled through one of my 284 Winchesters. He was on the same relay as Steve and shot a 199-10x. I think his worst score for the day was a 195 or 196. Think he finished 2 or 3 overall. I just got a text and he said his shoulder is a lil tender today. Lol. Always a good time shooting with friends and meeting other fellow shooters. Thank you to Lee Wells and the crew for holding a fun match.

Congrats to winners and was great to go finally get out.
Thanks Lee and volunteers who helped for the match.

Thanks for the great experience Jeff. I'm glad I was able to shoot your rifle well. More practice on prairie dogs this June.
I met some other awesome shooters and hope to do it again. Just got to shake off those nervous bugs. LOL Good luck at Eau Clair tomorrow.

Congrats to the winners Jeff Dick and Mike Schallow, and to Steve Ernst for shooting the high stage score of the match 200-16.

Re-tuning the 7mm for Milan this Sunday.
