2014 F-Class National Championship Dates??

Ben Avery Range Phoenix, Arizona. October 28th - November 2nd. November 2nd is a Sunday and will be used as a make up day if a day is lost to weather. The Arizona State LR match will be held just prior to the Nationals.

Bump any more info

places to stay or the web link of the event itself?

I have not been successful in navigating the Ben Avery website.

Thanks
Trevor

It's just north of Phoenix, there are about a hundred places to stay.

I'm confused on dates too. The heading of the program says Oct 28-Nov 2, but the body of the program shows all of the matches happening before that...

You are right, the dates on the program are one week earlier than Oct28-Nov02.

This is a message I got from Matt S who works at the Ben Avery Range and schedules there matches.

October 24 thru the 27 will be a NRA Long Range Regional Match, and the nationals will be held October 28 thru November 2.

I'm sure he will post on this forum any changes as he is DA MAN at Ben Avery.

Seb the weather is mid 80s in the day and down to 60 at night. That is just a long range average forecast. Beautiful weather.

i know its early but any idea on round count for both comp. ?

thks

Whoa, whoa, tabarnak.

The program is not out yet, but I'm pretty confident it will be 2X45, 2X20 with sighters and a team match (130 rounds for individual). I have no clue what the AZ state match will look like but it can probably be found at the Ben Avery site for the past years.

Hmm, last year's AZ LR championship looks like 6X20 over two days. 120 rounds for record.

So 250 rounds for record individual; add sighters, blow-offs and team matches.

Ok the new and updated F-Class Nationals program should be going up on the Desert Sharpshooters website in the next few days.

The NRA Long Range Regional that is taking place the weekend prior to the nationals, October 25 thru the 27, will have a round count of 140 rounds for record, or at least that is what Mid informed me it would be. October 24 will be a practice. Saturday, October 25 will consist of 2x20 shot strings at 1000. Sunday, October 26 will consist of 3x20 shot strings at 1000. Monday, October 27 will be the team match. The team match will consist of each firing member shooting 2x20 shot strings at 1000.

As for lodging the best list of lodging near the range is actually on the Winter Range website. which can be found here http://winterrange.com/lodging.html

FYI... Winter Range is the National Championships of Single Action Shooting (aka Cowboy Action Shooting), which is held every year at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility

Hey Matt,

Do you know if we can show up and shoot only one or two days of the Regional, same only maybe the Team match? Or, do we have to sign up for the whole event? Just thinking about those arriving at staggered times but want to get in a little shooting before the FCNC kicks-off.

Thanks my friend!
