This was an all out build for our 2000yd shoot we do in Townsend Mt. Currently the best group is 12.xxx" shot by Tom Mousel. This is his rifle. You can tell by the color
. I am sure we will see a quarter minute group at 2k from it. If Bat gets me a rail blank in time for me to machine it to fit this action I will tune it Friday and shoot it in HG at deep creek this weekend. Its an older Bat L, the tight ones so I loosened it up a bit and did my normal action and timing work to it as well as fitting an oversized shroud. Those really clean up the ignition. I chambered a 36" 1.450 Bartlien in 338 Lapua Improved and glued in the action. The McMillan 50 BMG BR stock was not designed for this action. It started as a flat top and to properly fit the action, sinking it to its center line and have the trigger in the right place the tang did not match up at all. So I built it up and touched up the gel coat, just like I do for the port cuts and bolt handle. The guys in the pits may want some ear plugs
I have had 3 of these and shot ones with every one at 1k, so I think it will be competitive. Its something different. I already know what a 6mm will do.....
