200.20X ideal throat/OAL?

Hi Mates,
I need to chamber my new barrel for F Class TR and use of Berger 200.20X bullet.
I have the FTR reamer (0.170" throat) but I suspect that the final overall OAL (chasing lands) would be around 3.000" therefore way below the suggested (by US FTR Team) 3.050" OAL. Is that correct?

Use the FTR reamer and see how it looks. If you want it longer, use a throat reamer to get there.

Im pretty sure the .170 puts the boat-tail\bearing surface junction beyond the midpoint of the neck. Some people don't mind going even farther out.

I use the 200.20Xs in a 0.180" freebore chamber, or .010" longer than the FTR reamer. COALs in different rifles with pointed 200.20Xs seated at .012" off the lands fall in the 3.100" to 3.120" range, and the bullet boattail/bearing surface junction is just barely shy of being halfway out the neck. This is where multiple barrels have tuned in for me in Varget/200.20X loads at ~2650 fps from a 30" barrel. In terms of optimal loading, the .010" freebore difference between the reamer I use and the FTR reamer isn't worth talking about. Nonetheless, you can subtract .010" from the COAL measurements I listed above as a reasonable estimate for what you should expect with a 200.20X seated at .012" off the lands.
