20 Vartarg Powders?

I have been loading H4198 in my 20VT with a 32 Vmax. That powder is currently not available. Was wondering if anyone has had success with H322 or H335?
Thanks!

H-335 did a wonderful job in mine. The 20 caliber page on the main site has a good load listed that will equal the H4198 Velocities. 22.4 grains with a Rem 7 1/2 I believe.

I was looking at the 20 caliber page and saw the H335 and H322 loads listed. Those are powders I have and could easily try. Like to ask and see if anyone else has had experience with them. Appreciate the replies.

I honestly have not found a powder that did not work at least acceptable with 32-34 grain bullets in my 20VT.
I have used a lot of odd and ends of powders just to be rid of the 1/3-1/2 cup left in a container. Like others I liked the H4198, I am all but out myself. The IMR works as well but is a royal pita to keep from bridging.
One fellow inquired to Hodgdon about H4198 and their response was something to the effect it is not a popular powder, he and the others three people that use it will have to find something else.

Last big batch of little cases I loaded, 17 and 20’s. I went with AA2220.
I myself would like to see some “fresh” data for some of these new powders.

I went from H4198 to AA2200 to AA2230.

The AA2230 meters very well and works really good with the 32 gr and 40 gr Hornady Vmax.. I got the AA2230 when the AA2200 was on short supply.

I went with 8208 when I ran out of H4198. 19 grains shoots to the same point of aim and very accurate in my 2 vartargs. I didn't bother to chronograph it because I don't care. I found a few 1 pounders of H4198 and an 8 pounder of IMR4198 over the winter so I can switch back.

I have had good luck with H335, rem 7-1/2 and 32 vmax in my cooper 38. 21.8gr gets me about 3700fps. Remington brass. I do notice that hot days on prairie dog fields do increase pressure a bit. That load was too hot for cci 400.

I have slowly changed all my loads to CCI450's because 400's were not holding up. plus It's one less primmer to have on hand.
