20 tactical

NICE!! So,, what's the diff between the 20TAC and 20Practical? Other than pretty much having to custom size your brass for 20Pract? (Which is a real PITA for many).. What case is the 20TAC built from? .223? Some curiousity here...?? ;) LOVE my .204!

I think 1deadpdog may be confusing the tactical vs. the practical. Practical, as name suggests, and as others have indicated, is nothing more than a .223 Remington necked down to .204 caliber. Great cartridge. Does everything the "20 Practical" can do with less fuss and less cost (in dies).

Yeah, just a little confused,, haven't really dealt with doing my own brass resizing, other than fireforming for my .223AI Thompson Contender and experimenting sizing down leftover 30-06,280 and 270 brass to my 25-06... Never messed with bushing dies. Sounds interesting, not enough real 'free' time to get into that at this time.. Haven't read much on the 20Tac,, read an article on the 20Practical the other day, sort of intrigued me.. Very wet behind the ears when it comes to this AR subject.. Very interesting, to say the least! The nearest I'd been to an AR was 20yrs ago, my younger brother built one bottom to top.. that one scared me, he had around $3K in it.. Sorta scared me off until the last few yrs when everyone was making them.. Drove the consumer price down a lot. Research, I like my research..

Why would you form 20 Tactical brass when you you can purchase high quality 20 Tactical brass? Until the 20 Tac brass supply is gone the reforming debate has no merit. Buy it ,load and shoot it,what could be easier?

I am looking for some 20 Tactical brass. Grafs is out and Midway shows it on backorder. Does anybody know where it is available or if Lapua is going to make another run in the near future.

Thanks, TimP
