20 tactical brass

Only Lapua made 20 Tac brass and only sold by Dakota Arms. Long gone unless someone has some new old stock ($$$)

Redding Tac 20 form dies and you can make your own from 223. Buy the Redding form die, run your .223 brass through it and then run it through a FL 20 Tac Bushing die.

Or form with a Hornady FL non-bushing die. Trim and go.

Once fired formed brass. Diamond K?

I’ve been having good luck with making brass using a 20 tac full length sizer and a 223 full length sizer. I run the brass through a 223 full length sizer first to bring it back to 223, then just run it through my 20 tac full length sizer and it’s done. I’ve made roughly 250 just this season for it.

He is completely out of the brass business other than a few books. I bought one of the Twenty books last year.

Run 223 brass through the die. That’s the beauty of it, cheap and plentiful brass

I know that this is an older post but I know that Sleeping Giant Brass just updated and added 20 Tactical to their list of calibers they form out of LC like 221 Fireball, and 17 Fireball. I did talk with the owner as well and they are working on growing the forming section of the business. He is working on adding 17 Mach4, 20 Vartarg, as well as some calibers from 308 LC like the GT, BR line, and looking for other ideas from people. So if you have a caliber that would have a good calling for. visit their website (www.sleepinggiantbrass.com) and do a contact form to let him know.

Are you associated with sleeping giant brass?
How are they making the 20 TAC brass?
The TAC has a 30 deg shoulder and 223 has 23.

Hello,
Sorry my wife got on here and made the post and was worried about getting kicked off like some facebook groups. I am actually the owner. I am forming it using form die, sizing die, and a mandrel die. They are trimmed to 1.750 +-0.005. The forming and sizing makes the shoulder. The shoulder get moved about 0.030 from the top of the angle so it does form the proper angle shoulder.

Here is a picture of a 20 Tac(Left) and 223 Rem (Right). It is only barely noticeable but you can see that the shoulder of the 20 Tac is lower and at the right angle of the specs.
