20 Tac

I got the 20 Tac barrel on the Savage and got to the range. It is a Douglas Barrel 12tw with a 39 gr. Sierria Blitzking/ 25.3 gr RL10 / CCI 450 I could hit 2.5" clays at 500 yds. After 8 breakin shot, the first group was 0.250". The groups were a clean gun shot and 3 - 3 shot groups. Looks like it is going to be a shooter. I am going to try to get out this week, forsome groundhogs.

Great rig. I have been thinking about building one very similar.

If this is your first .20 Tac you will wonder how you ever lived without one. I built one on a CZ 527 vamint Kevlar with a fluted Krieger and it is my favorite varmint gun of all. Nice light, short, and just flat out accurate.

I have had a 20 BR and a factory 204R. I like the 20 TAC, best. The 20 BR was a 9 tw for the 50 gr, but the 40 Vmax shot best. With a 21" barrel all I could get was 3900 f/s, I am getting that with the Tac.
