Man you got equipment all I got in a CZ 17, and Thompson 204. Beautiful build what's the maximum effective rang, gh's coyotes?I imagine one can obtain some pretty serious BC's with the many different bullet choices.

Ive killed lots of Groundhogs with a 20 TAC in the 400-500 yard range! Killed several coyotes out to 360 yards with 40 gr BIB bullets

Ummm -- I'm thinking that it will be a better shooter if you latch a scope on top of it. ;)

Other than that, it is my idea of an ideal build. I wouldn't change a thing. jd
Western Virginians don't need scopes, boys down there are born and bred to shoot, with or without.
That's western Va, in VA, West Virginian boys same.

My wife's family comes from back there, and I'm guessing that she'd duc-tape a bobby pin or two on top of that barrel. I've learned a thing or two about hillbilly tech from her in the last twenty plus years. jd

How do you like the 20 tac compared to the 20p? Im gathering components to start my build. Just dont want to buy the barrel untill i have my mind made up. To me dies are irrelevant. I have 223 bushing dies already but would buy another dedicated set. So eather way i would be buying dies.

My loads in my 20 TACs are running 40 gr BIBs around 3880 fps!

That's a little spicy,.. According to Quickload you'd need to go over 66,000 psi with the 20-223 (20-tactical) to reach 3,800 fps.

Your brass might not survive more than 6 or 7 reloads if you're lucky.

Beautiful rig btw.

Its about 63,000 psi !

No pressure signs whatsoever with this load in my other three 20 TAC rifles!
