Is the small monitor still as clear as a 8-10" tablet or laptop screen????
It’s never going to be as good as a bigger screen simply because size is size, but I was really impressed with the resolution and clarity.

I read somewhere that the rigid and flexible rod will fit a .20 cal but the 90 deg fitting won’t. Is this true?

i use the old style flex in my .20's BUT i had to bevel the edge of the mirror itself to get it to fit. the mirror housing is 0.197 but the mirror proper was larger. i worked on my mirror under a microscope (after i became sure that replacements were available) and use it all the time now... somewhere there is a photo posted of my mod.

I did a mod similar to chop house using one of the wife's super duper fingernail files and my flexible one will now fit in my 20P/204R bores. It's a snug fit and keeping the flexible rod as straight as possible keeps it moving w/o issue.

Decisions decisions, picture clarity? Their 4.5” monitor vs iPhone SE (new).

Also wifi necessity - If you’re in the middle of nowhere do you create a hotspot to be able to use it?

All of the Wi-Fi units create their own Wi-Fi network that your phone or tablet or computer can connect to. No additional hotspot or Wi-Fi is necessary. You can literally be in the middle of the desert with just the unit and your phone and be able to use it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears that if you buy the new wifi version, it will also connect via USB to an Android\PC\Mac or even their monitor if you purchase it separately?

Their monitor has only WVGA resolution. I would think most (all?) phones would provide a crisper picture. Yes/no?

Obviously one of the newer phones or tablets it’s probably going to be a better resolution in the monitor but I can tell you the monitor shows you 99% of what you need plus there are plenty of people who just don’t want to use their phone or tablet in any way and for them it’s fantastic.

For somebody who needs the utmost and resolution like a Gunsmith or machinist nothing will replace a Hawkeye but for the average Shooter it will show them anything they need to worry about.

F Class John.........THANKS MUCH for your info on the TESLONG NTG450H...
I received one with the flexible tube the day before reading your article and hung it to straighten it....
I contacted Amazon to return; they approved and I ordered the rigid tube...
Also got the discount.....

Mine came in today.
Ridged rod type.
FYI I didn't need to download anything. Just open my camera then plug in the teslong. It's not perfect but sure beats the lyman.
I use my bore guide with the rod guide insert to make it stay centered. (Just like I do the lyman)
Thank you for the coupon. That's really great of you.
Thank you again.

Many thanks John!

I doubt if the Teslong is better than my Hawkeye for bore scrutiny, but for the price I can't pass it up.

There are certainly some things the Hawkeye can't do, like expanding the view or taking pictures (well, for an arm and a leg, the Hawkeye can take pics). I purchased the Rigid w/monitor, primarily to carry to the range as it won't break the bank, if it's dropped or broken (I do that a lot these days).

Again, thank you for the post and the promo code.
