.20 Complicated

New cartridge out. Except for the listed differences, it's identical to the .20 Practical. Only to be used in custom barrels, stocks and actions along with aftermarket triggers, the powder charges must be weighed to within .01 grain, necks must be turned, loaded round BTO needs to be within .001, runout no more than .002, designed for Lapua brass only and topped off with your choice of high end scope. Can only be shot from a bench and not intended for the original intent of it's parent.

I've heard of this new cartridge, but I was told the brass had to be neck sized only and the bullets could, ONLY, be seated using an arbor press.;)

The ones I've seen had to have bullets that cost over 40 cents a piece.
Makes me wonder how I ever shot those tens of thousands of prairie dogs with Vmax bullets out of a Savage.
Well I probably didn't have any fun doing it all wrong.

Micro lathe, laser indicator,
Cup taper spec sheet,
You forgot foil thickness uniformity.and color
Are the anvil arm separation angles uniform?
Width of them exactly the same? radius on the edges, milled or stamped.angle of depression?

On the primers, make sure there's a .005 crush and all of them seat with the same force, i.e. use a force gauge for primer seating. The neck down process should be in no more than .005 increments to control runout.:p Keep in mind the idea here is to take a really easy wildcat and make it as complicated as possible.:(

I generally use the magnum small pistol primers, be sure to get the ones from Japan not China. For my long range loads I always point them.

If you don't polish the inside of the cases with fermented Canadian lynx dung then you are doing it wrong.
With all due respect Orbit, I think that's a crappy way to treat your cases. I use a mixture of 90 weight gear lube, borax, and my wife's cuticle remover for much better results.

Sounds like a couple of mine. You forgot that it has to be a BAT action or other high end job.Mine is called the 20 Tedious
