.20 cal bore diameters

Any thoughts on bore diameters .199 vs .200 for the 20cal.
The mullerworks I just bought has a .200.i've notice that most blanks seen to be .199

I have a Krieger on my 20-250 and a Hart on my 20-222, can't tell you what either is, but they both flat shoot and really well at that.

There is another thread going where its suggested that the larger bore is easier on jackets with no accuracy loss.

My PacNor barrel/chamber print (20-222),calls the bore .2000" and groove dia. .205". It stays clean very nicely, and I'm very happy with it. jd

Personally I like .199-204, I have some .200- 205 but they shoot o.k but are slower.
I cannot tell the difference in how they clean up I think the lapping and throat has more to do with that.

If your Mullerworks .20 barrel is anything like the one I have in .20P, you will not be disappointed.

SAAMI spec. Is .200” on the bore size. We are tooled for both .199” and .200”.

SAAMI spec. On groove is .204”.

Most guys are requesting .199” x .204” from us. I see no difference in accuracy.

We do standard conventional 5 groove rifling. SAAMI spec. Is 6 groove. We’ve done twist anywhere from 1-8 up to 1-13.
