1000 yard IBS records fall at Deep Creek.
David Torgerson and Tom Mousel both broke the 10 match Light gun group agg record. Tom also broke the 6 match light gun group agg record. The current 10 match agg is 4.3155" David crushed it with a 3.7946" as did Tom with a 3.8734". The current 6 match agg is 3.072" and Tom shot a 2.954" This is the first time in history that anyone has agg'd in the 3"s for the 10 match and in the 2"s for the 6 match! For those not familiar with 1000 yd IBS matches, you shoot 10 matches for your season agg (average). All 10 are averaged out for the 10 match and your best 6 are averaged out for your 6 match.

David shot the majority of his targets with a Bat B and Broughton 5c barrel. But he also shot his Bat Sv and Borden BRM with Krieger and Lilja barrels. All David's rifles where shot with Vapor Trail 103's, March scopes, and Deep Creek Tracker stocks, and chambered in 6BRA.

Tom Mousel shot his 6 and 10 match splitting time between his Neuvo LR and Borden BRM. Both with multiple Krieger Barrels. The Neuvo is in a Mcmillan/Wheeler LRB, with a March scope and shot 103 Vapor trails. His BRM was in a Deep Creek Tracker, Sightron scope, and shot 103 Roy Hunter bullets. Both rifles chambered in 6BRA.

If this doesnt make you give up the idea you need that hummer barrel to win I dont know what will. Yes, you need the best equipment, but you also need the best tune and knowledge to stay on top of it. These 2 guys are some of the most dedicated tuners and testers I know. Well done! And well deserved! Thank you.

Huge thanks to Vortex optics who provided scopes to the Deep Creek Group agg winners, Tom Mousel, James Bradley, and David Torgerson.
Lilja Barrels provided barrels for the score agg winners as well. Ken McAlpine, Glenn Kulzer, and Lonnie Anderson. Thanks for supporting Benchrest!20190714_213316.jpg

That is some great news. Congrats to the shooters, you put in the time & practice & the payoff is right there......Did both these guys tune using Positive Compensation?

Best Regards
Rick

Amazing indeed to master that range and shoot that small as a agg is mind boggling to a 66 year old rookie.
Congratulations Gentlemen.

Jim

Phenomenal job guys. Dedication pays off. Can’t really say much more than that.

Dave.
