Today was a pretty decent day. We had 20 long range shooters come out to enjoy the overcast sky and wind. The temp when we started was about 62*F, and about 53*F when we finished up. First round went down range at 2:15PM CST, and we finished up at 4:45 CST. In an effort to avoid the shots fired in prep-time at other ranges, we have decided to forgo block time, and go with a standard 3 minute prep and then 30 minutes for record fire.
Wind was up a little today. It started off worth 2.5 minutes left on my 6.5x284,2930fps). Once dialed in, it was fishtailing about 5mph worth, maybe a touch less.
High score today was Gene Graham, 199-16. Chip "El Roho" Money came in second, with a 199-15. High F TR was Steve Grammer, with a strait 192. David Wilson was second F TR with a 189-4x, using a 20" barrel. There was only two any rifle shooters out today. I shot any/iron and put up a 197-6, and Curtis put up a 195-7X with an any/any rifle. Only one Junior today, and she happened to be the only woman as well. Dakota Hayes put up a respectable 195-6X with a 6BR, not bad for 10 years old. ,She's my wee one, and was upset I outshot her today)
Added for 6mmBR.com; Of the top F class scores today, six,6) were shooting 6mm's of one sort or another.,A 6BRX, two Dashers, a 6XC, a 6PPR and a 6BR.)
