1st reports on T/C predator

Well scope rifle came with was marginal. I removed it and installed my 4200 elite 6x24x40. Rifle is slick, nice short throw bolt crisp trigger light and accurate rifle. Its definitively a keeper. 1st shots were W-W factory 55gr sp. Soon as I start reloading for it i'll post group pictures. The scope that came with the rifle is now for sale 3x9x40 T/C Max-1 camo. $50 bucks

Well... how does it feed? A friend told me today there was a recall on some of the first ones out. Maybe mine could have been fixed. Glad you like it so far.

I've only loaded one round at a time. 1st 5 fed poorly but after that the next 15 were flawless. This rifle is sweet, really light.

They are pretty nice for the price. Although mine were large magnums in long actions, they were very smooth and well balanced with flawless feeding and awesome accuracy. I figured the predator would be the same.

Probably a good idea to do a quick barrel break in as well. My 2 ventures broke in very quickly. I only did a really fast 1 shot and clean break in until I didn't get excessive copper. I stopped after the 5th shot because I wasn't getting any more copper after removing powder fouling. the next thing they did was shoot the groups you saw on the other thread.
They broke in as fast as my Lilja and McGowen barrels on my custom rigs so it was clear to me that the TC barrels are definitely a step above the norm for quality.

They must of gotten the bugs out of it. Mine also feeds flawlessly . Its Bad to the bone ,nice and lite easily move it around in my Raider truck.

I'm glad it's working out. I might have to give them another try. I haven't been calling at all this winter. Been too warm and I've been too busy. We're building a little house for my dad and I was up there working inside yesterday and kept hearing something that I finally figured out was coyotes barking and howling (2:30 in the afternoon) so I looked out the window and saw one right in the fence line. I snuck out to the truck and grabbed the Tikka and by that time he made it across the fence into the pasture. I killed him at 330yds with the 'ol 50 Vmax. Lights out not even a flop. I'm taking today off and we're going to go call some this afternoon. It's a muddy mess out there though.
