SELLING 1964 Remington 700 222

Picked this up from a guy at work. It was his in-laws fathers rifle. They believe it was a one owner rifle. Sported a period correct Redfield 3-9x Scope (Listed in the scopes for sale). For it's age this rifle is very nice. I hope the pictures show enough detail to a potential buyer. I'm asking $800 shipped on the rifle. I'm open to offers and open to trades. I simply have too many "varmint rifles". I'll even trade for 22LR ammo. As long as it makes sense. I would love to get into a 45LC or 44 Mag wheel gun. Just let me know what you got!!!

Beautiful! I had this same rifle for 15 years. Bought it from a friend's GPA in high school. It was my main calling rifle for many years and killed a lot of dogs with it and a 40g vmax at 3500fps over IMR4198. Super accurate and shot my first of many quarter minute groups with it. I turned it into a long range 223 wylde last year however. Good luck with sale!

Some people just aren’t sentimental. My dad has a Model 788 in 222. Killer a ton of groundhogs with that rifle when I was a kid. It lived its life in a gun rack in his regular cab Chevy. The heat ruined the stock. I refinished it for him about 15 years ago. I will fight my siblings someday when he passes. That and his Remington 1100 12 gauge with a smooth bore slug barrel. Oh jeeze the stories. I don’t think he ever missed a bunny with that shotgun! Memories are good!!!!
