1911 Slide milling vendors

I’m finally going to get my slide milled for a direct fit dot. Who has done this and who did you use. Also, I went to the LGS to ask this question, he didn’t know but said why don’t you just buy a slide ready for a dot? Anyone do this? Thanks

Gkgeiger good morning, my brother in law uses Vulcan machine he’s quite happy, you may find someone closer he’s in TX.

You can buy adapter plates that fit the sight cut you have and allow you to mount the red dot sight you want. I did this with a Springfield 1911 I have. I use San adapter from EGW Guns.
