Looking for opinions on the best/most accurate 22 rim fire conversion kit.
Thank you
Steve Bair

Nelson, Marvel are the two I have experience with and have been around for some time. There different grades of each. If you are shooting Bullseye/Precision Handgun, spend accordingly.
There is a great forum for accurate handgun shooting and competition:
www.bullseyeforum.net
There are often .22 conversions for sale there and plenty of experienced competitors to help with questions.

Original Marvel for accuracy.

I have two Marvels, Unit 1, an early one and a lock back- both aluminum , post Bob Marvel, around 2008-2010. I put them on frames tuned for bullseye, Ultradot sights. They shoot like rifles at 50 yds.
Mine are sprung for Standard velocity target ammo, CCI SV and Eley Target.
I keep mine clean and they run flawless.

I’ve heard Nelson’s are better.

That’s all I got.

I have a Cienar, standard unit that has shot 2" groups a couple of times from a rest at 50 yards. I think a random rest would show it to shoot better.

I tried a few different conversions before getting a Nelson. Couldn't be happier! I had some early cycling issues with a custom built lower and called - I was asked to send the lower and conversion to them for tuning. There and back in less than 10 days and haven't had an issue since. While in the shop they asked (and I agreed) to have them go through and check everything out for functionality. How's that for customer service? And very accurate to boot. I have used it for bullseye and have been able to maintain an expert rank (season average greater than 540/600).

I have a Marvel Unit 1, older model that doesn't lock back. No complaints what so ever.
I don't know if he is still making them, Joe Chambers, https://chamberscustom.com/, was making a conversion unit. Joe studied under/worked for Bob Marvel for a number of years. If I were to buy another conversion, I would take a serious look at Joe's.
