19 badger neck dimensions

I was just wondering if any of you 19 badger owners would give me the dimensions of a fired and sized case

I have a customer that scored a good deal that he thought for a new barrel and a bunch of brass but it came with no reloading dies so he's trying to figure out what he can do with that He's trying to see if he can get some of the guys he currently has to work but he needs to know what Neck bushing to get so he can size one

Mine is similar to the 19 Badger but a 22 Spifire. Started out using the 5.7 Johnson headstamped brass from Grafs, then it was NLA when I tried to get some more so went to Starline, which seems to be excellent brass but necks came out .001 - .002 larger loaded diameter which gave very little clearance. Ended up turning them down to what the Graf brass loaded neck diameter was. Noticed that Graf's is showing that brass again, so it might be worth a try. For a varmint cartridge like this I like about .003 loaded neck clearance.

Yes, mine was chambered with a JGS reamer that has 28 degree shoulder; Graf had Redding dies to match. It was originally called the 5.7 Johnson. I love it, currently having the 4th one made up; getting away from Hornet as I have found the Spitfire to be much easier to live with and performance easily surpasses K-Hornet. A 20cal version would be great, too. There is another similar cartridge series called Garin which has 40 degree shoulder. If you can hook up with Garin that's a good way to go as he has reamers, gages, dies at pretty reasonable prices. I just never could hook up with him and found what I have in the meantime. Attached pics of reamer print and comparison of Spitfire to a 221Fireball.

I believe the 19 Badger neck chamber is a .231 and loaded unturned starline brass are right at .231 loaded

That sounds about like my experience making the 22 Spitfire from Starline; ended up with only .0005 clearance.

I had thought of that but thought the jacket may spring back more than the core did. Had a oddball years ago and had issues with it. A cast Bullets shot fine but the jacketed didn’t. May have been swagging a lot more too, I have slept since then.

I just had Jim rechamber a Cooper 38 in 19 Calhoon into his 19 Badger. He doesn't have any brass at this time for he is waiting on a Starline order still. He has loaded Starline Badger ammo for sale and I sent him a few hundred pieces of new Starline 30 Carbine brass to for for me just to make it easier.
He also has Forseter 19 Badger neck sizers in stock.
If you need the neck measurements of his new brass let me know.

If you are looking for carbine brass to make Badger, Spitfire or Garin cases, Graf has it under 5.7 Johnson last time I looked. I did not have to neck turn my original Spitfire based on Graf's brass but I don't have any experience with this new batch.
