1893 Mannlicher stock repair?

I ordered a Mannlicher 1893 sporter recently and it arrived in pieces (see pictures). Any advice on how to proceed? I really wanted this little rifle and its a shame because finding a replacement sporter stock has so far proven illusive.

Of course, a claim is being filed by the shipper. Any ideas on how to restock this little gem would be much appreciated.

That just plain blows!!
I just received a sporter stock today from @Lee in Texas for a mauser, dont know where he got it, or who made it, nice stock anyway.
I scored a newer mauser and it's in a Boyd's or Richard's stock couldn't say which.

That looks like a fairly straight forward repair. It might not be invisible but should be darn close. A dowel run up through the grip to the tang would help with that unfortunate grain structure. WH

Acraglas ( or similar) stained black is your friend. You may want to fashion some sort of clamping jig to hold it very tight while the 'poxy goes off.
