185gr Classic Hunter

You're gonna have to do a little bit of testing... but here is a couple windows for you.

72 - 74 gr H-4831 / H-4831sc (72.5 worked for me)

79 - 81 gr H-1000 (79.5 worked for me)

What brass make you planning on using ???

Best bang for your buck in the 300winmag is Federal.
If you want the best, go with ADG or Peterson.

H-4831 would also be my first pick.

I never used Winchester 300win brass, but from the info floating around is it has a little bit more room than federal so I'm not surprised 74 gr worked good with 200's.

I settle at 78.0 of H4831 with the Berger 185gr Classic
Fed 215 primer
WW Nickle Brass
COAL @ 3.550”
Bergara HMR 300 Win Mag
Seat the bullet out a little and that gives you a little more powder space and less pressure if your Magazine will allow.

I like RL 23, H1000 for 178's H hpbt, 200's ELDX, and 208's. My H1000 loads are somewhat less than those shown above. I have had excellent results with the loads shown in the Hornady Vol 10 manual for 4000MR (sort of an orphan powder, cheap, casually avoided by most). CCI 250 primers. Nosler and Winchester brass. FN bench rest w. Hart barrel, COAL 3.5 inch plus.

In my 300 win mag

150 TSX w IMR 4350
165gr thru 180gr w IMR 4831
200gr SBT or AB w/ H4831

In my B-14 HMR the IMR 4350 was a clear winner with 150's
With 165s/180's the IMR 4831 squeezed the best accuracy but IMR 4350 was close.
200 Sierra GK the H4831 was the winner of the 3 powders tested.

I settled on 180 Nosler BT/AB with IMR 4831 as my hunting load.
The Berger 185 Classic was very accurate with H4831.
