185 and 200.20x upper nodes (not 308)

The 308/FTR "nodes" for these two bullets with common powders / barrel lengths are fairly well established.

For those who have run these bullets in larger cases in the 2700-3000FPS range, and care to share, just wondering what velocity range(s) you've settled upon?
Ex: 185 Jugg @ 2720-2750, ____, and ____ ?
20x @ 2610-2640, ____, and ____ ?

Thanks in advance for sharing,

Interested to see what you get for responses. Most target shooters are running big 300s with bigger bullets like the 215s or the 210s

I plan to test them as well.
For 300/600, with the appropriate freebore, I wouldn't hesitate to shoot either the 185 or the 200. Both shot very well in the past at low(er) speeds.
I'd like to work with these as a precursor to the Vapor trails, Claymores, and forthcoming bullet from Roy Hunter.
Thanks

In my experience in (the 308 mind you), the 185 has nodes around at 2720, 2770 and 2805 fps.
The 20x has 2590, 2635, 2670 and 2700 (beyond 2650 I do not have first hand experience). I thought I saw a post about someone with the 308/185 in the 2900+ range (perhaps that was on FB) and this is downright scary in the 308WIN. Drew

2950 or even low 3000’s should be achievable with the 200.20X in the 300WSM

I think the 185 is too light in the short mag.

I’m running a comfortable 2930fps with 215’s

I'm guessing that's with rl23?

Did you find a high node with the 215s and h4350?

FWIW, 185 juggs, 4350 and 300wsm has to be the easiest to tune combination in target shooting. I can absolutely see the appeal, despite not having class leading ballistics

Re 23 in mine. I haven’t tried 4350 with 215’s

2213SC should also get the 215 into the low 2900’s with a 30-32” tube.
