One of the things you need to understand about the 180 Scenars is that they have the longest bearing surface of any 7mm bullet I know of, including the Berger 195 Hybrid. At mag length in a "normal" mag-length / factory reamer, your bearing surface will be WELL below the neck shoulder junction, thus placing it in the pathway of a doughnut that will surely come along soon, as well as reducing case capacity substantially! If you understand those two concepts and are willing to live with them, it could work out pretty well..I've got a 7 saum fun gun that I'd like to try some 180 scenars in. The plan is to seat them to mag length, given their reputation for being jump tolerant, but is there an velocity window that is working for folks?
