17fireball in 17 mach 4

i thought someone might have an answer. it seems to me if the bolt would close on the 17 fb and the fit was fairly tight this would be like fireforming and a step could be saved and the fired case would be a 17 mach 4. i really would hope someone has an answer or an opinion thanks again md

It can, the only thing you might run into is the OAL of the case. The 17FB has an OAL of 1.420" where the 17M4 is 1.400". Other than that and the shoulder width they are the same, if it chambers without to much resistance it will be fine. Adam
