178 amax in 308

i was wondering what you guys thought about the 178 amax?are these bullets as good as the sierras or the bergers for longrange comp.i dont see or here many guys using them in comp.is their a reason for this? ???when i say longrange i mean 1000 yards.i would like to here what your thoughts are on these bullets thanks

I like them, use them & even set a record (F Class F/TR, since broken several times) with them back on 2007 in my 308. Am working a load using N550 but nothing concrete yet. This season doesn't look like I'll be competing due to health reason ... Just a new excuse (for me) to add to the list !!

why do you think not to many guys are not using them?you dont here to many people in general using the amax bullet exspecialy in the bigger matches??
