17 Mach IV ?

Anyone been using Rreloader 7 in the 17 Mach IV ? I have 2 lbs and that's a lot of rounds. Thanks.

I use RE10x in mine with 30gr Kindler Golds. If you are shooting 25gr bullets it would probably work. There is a good way to find out, just shoot some.

Still working on a load w/re7. 17.5 grs., cci 400, 25 gr. rem hp leaves a lot of smoke on case, not obturating not enough pressure primers unchanged. .3 more and primers blow, go figure. Going to try a little slower powder. My .02, Tom.

I use less RE10x on 30s than you are using with RE7 which is a faster powder so you are probably way too hot. A little bit changes alot with the Mach IV

I would not waste my time with Rem Hp in .17 cal. It is not a well made bullet. I tried them and the old Hornady .25 gr HP which was all that was available in the early 90's. Will be testing Hornady V-max soon as 1/2" groups were the best I could do with the old Hornady bullets.

Rel 7 is a very fast powder. I have used H355 which is much slower, but temp sensitive. My loads ran from 19.1-19.3 based on temperature. I am only looking to get 3750 fps, although could push it higher. Small increments of powder make a big difference in pressure for this small case. Also found that there were two nodes for seating depths for the same accuracy. Of course, this will change with your rifle. BTW I use Rem 7 1/2 BR primers with this load.
