Spent some time with my father in law.. we threw a scope on my 17 HMR.. ive never really shot it all that much and had it for years... sighted in it.. then went to shootin shit... forgot how much fun them things are! We drove around making birds explode around the ranch... shot a squirrel this morning at gutted him.. just had a blast!

Sometimes it seems more fun to put the heavy bench guns down and walk around with the light stuff at different
shooting positions and just shoot! I have a 17HMR and like you it does not get shot as much but I sure seem to
like shooting it when I do. I really enjoy the small 22 hornet as it sends the pd's flying and then ya can load the
little cases back up. Sometimes it just feels good to shoot and not worry about finding all your brass too. Lots of
black birds when the pd's are not around....I like to see them go "pooof" ....LOL

i agree i have found my favorite gun i shoot the most is my savage mark 2 heavy barrel and I have been wanting to get the model 93 in 17 hmr. My buddy has one model 93 bvss model tac driver and easy to shoot
