150/147gr 308 Gas gun loads

Share em if you would please. I've tried AR Comp but I want save that. I have some charges of Tac loaded up to try.

Hoping to find an "economical" loading. Maybe Exterminator, Tac or N133/135, other ball powders.

Do you find these kinds of bullets like to be loaded longer or shorter? I am not crimping or worried about where the cannelure is. In fact so far I have been seating them out past the cannelure so the case mouth is not touching it.

I realize these are not match bullets but I'm sure one load will group tighter than the others. Best I've done so far is around 2 MOA, which would be fine if it's consistent.

I just like doing development and tinkering.

N135 would suit your purposes well. I am fairly sure that N135 is the standard powder for the Lapua equivalent of M80 ball. It is an extruded powder but the grains are fairly small and meter well, and it burns clean.

TAC or Win 748 would also work well.

Also I am not sure what 150 gr bullets you are using, but many of them do not shoot very well, and are your biggest impediment to accuracy. The standout is the Hornady 150 FMJ-BT, which is actually a pretty good shooting bullet for a cheap bulk projectile. The off brand 147 gr Armscor/Xtreme/etc bullets are very inconsistent and tend to shoot like crap.

WC846; but buy a large qty of one lot and work up. its near BLC(2) in performance and as a ball powder makes loading easy. not max accuracy, but a few handload techniques and bullet seating experiments and youre well within fun practice ammo.
