130&140g Berger VLD loads 2950+ fps

Hello everyone, I need some HELP!! I have my brand new custom
6.5x284 and my first 2 work up loads were a bit slow. I'm trying to get to the "accuracy node" that i have read about on this forum. OK here goes..the rifle has a shilen mg ss 30" bbl.
this is a hunting rifle so i'm seating 5/1000 off the lands by the oal gauge. i have chosen H3450&H4831sc i've contacted Berger and used their load data,best i could get over the chrony at 3/10ths under max.140g vld H4350 46.5g 2818,2824,2818,2824,2807 sd6. H4831sc both loads Federal gm210m primers 51g.2867,2867,2867,2842,2849 sd12. I sighted the scope in using black hills 142g smk's the one i put over the chrony showed 2976 fps. so it can be done with this barrel.
Ive read the 6.5x284 info page and the loads listed there, are above listed max. sierra manual&Berger but using 142g smk's&139g Senars both which are not a hunting bullet. Can i safely go as high as the loads on the info page using a 140g vld?? Any help or suggestions are appreciated Thanks, Royce

in my Savage 6.5-284 with factory 30" barrel its taking 52.5gr RE-22 to get to 2930fps. I couldnt get that high with H4831sc. I think my barrel is a slower one. I think my load is kind of hot so definately start lower.

TONY,On the 2975 fps 4831sc load,what was your grain drop? i've heard that vv powders are good,but VERY hard for me to come by out here in the sticks.but i can get the H powders. but push come to shove..thanks much.
