Hi All,
Well, you couldn't hardly ask for nicer weather (for a change) for our August Mid-Range and Team match weekend.
The match format was a 2 x 600 individual match plus a two-person team match each day.
I am thinking it was weather related, but a LOT of really good scores were shot over the two days, including Match Winner Chris Moriarty who posted a pretty sweet 798-41X including three individual cleans with 14, 12, and 12X's. Holy Cow! In Palma category, Joe Fogg turned in a nice 793-39X with Iron Sights!
On the F-Class side, Todd Norfleet posted a nice 796-41X (In F-T/R no less). Jack Neith posted a nice 783-29X for the Open win.
I counted a total of 20 clean targets shot between Sling and F-Class over the two days in individual shooting.
In other news, we had a 200 yard rimfire 'fun shoot' after Saturday's match, that attracted about 15 shooters. We shot on the HEXTA electronic targets (which worked flawlessly). Feedback was VERY positive, and we will be doing that again, probably next month, and again in October in some form or fashion. Stay tuned.
More importantly (these days), the rimfire shooters raised $480 for the Delaware State Sportsman's Association to help in our fight against the recently passed draconian gun control measures in the state of Delaware.
A HUGE Thank You to everyone who pitches in to help set-up and tear down before and after the match. We couldn't do it without you!
Our next match will be a long-range match weekend August 27-28 with the same format -a 2 x 1000 yard, plus a two-person team each day.
Hope to see you there!
Frank
