123 gr scenars in or out.

Hi guys,
I have run out of 130 bergers and have some 123gr scenars so was wondering if they prefer a bit of jump or into thr lands.
I dont have long freebore so at 5 thou in they are only just past the shoulder neck junction this is for 6.5x47.

Cheers Trev.

Trev, I run the 123 Scenar in a .260 and jump them 20/thou. They are not overly sensitive, but I shoot them out of a AICS mag, so backing them up was required. They shoot well.

Mine preferred 0.005" to 0.007" IN, but not jammed. If you know what I mean.

I have some chambers that I can seat a bullet 0.020" in the lands and it's still about 0.005" away from being jammed. I know this because extraction of a live round feels no different than it does with a round that's jumping the bullet, even though the bullet has land marks around it.

I like working up loads In the lands (but not jammed) this way once I play with seating depth I get no surprises with pressure.

I'm keen to try these out of my 260 when I get it rebarreled. Broadly speaking, what sort powders are you using with these projectiles?
