Sunday after Church Steve Perry texted and said he was coming. I told him to stop by and get a quart size can of Dinty Moore or tomato juice, just a large size. Biggest thing the Dollar Store had was a 22.5 oz Spagetti-O can. So we just scaled down the quart sized one mile challenge to a 22 oz 1200 yd challenge. Steve, Sam Moore, and myself. We shot two shots each round robin. I only had ten rounds so I would have to start fast. First two shots were very close. I was using a NF Comp DD recticle. My first impact was a hair low left, just right to use the tiny wire post under center dot for my aim point. Sam's second shot knocked the can over so we went over on the gator to inspect. He had touched the very bottom corner of the can enough to tip the can over. Put a dent in corner of can but no puncture. We set the can back up and our assault continued. My third round attempt shook the can but it did not fall over. Still upright. Now back to me for my round four. Time is running out as I only have four shells left. This time one of my shots, holding the fine mil line under main dot, knocked the can enough to lean it side ways. Can still standing. Sam and Steve still had shells remaining and continued till they had shot 20 or 25 times. When we finished, we rode the gator out to check can for holes. It had the dent at the bottom and two holes in center where I had shook the can and leaned the can. Someone had grazed the can on the edge, probably after it had leaned, and it punctured can also. Guess we will give Steve credit for that one. I was shooting a Mike Bryant 700 Titantium BRX with 107 SMK. Steve was shooting a PTG B-12 action in 6/22-250 and 107 SMK's. Sam was shooting a factory I believe Savage 6 Creed with Hornady factory 108 ammo. We really had fun with this. Next time though we will try to have a quart size can for the 1200 Yard Challenge
