12 year old's first target!!

I've always wondered what the accuracy level these rifles were. What is your opinion of these rifles. I plan in the future to build a 6mm Norma BR off a Rem 700 short action, maybe these are just as good. TKS

This rifle started life out with a chamber issue from the factory. After sending her back two times they replaced the barrel. It was shooting 107 sierras into bug holes and for some unknown reason once she hit around 150 rounds she took a 360 degree turn and hated them.
I then moved to the 80 grain Bergers for short work and 105's for long range. It will shoot either bullet in the 1' and 2's.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info. What powder would you recommend for this caliber.

"I would like to give my 12 year old Daughter a Big shout out on her first ever 5 shot group from the bench."

And a shout out to Mom and Dad for giving her the opportunity and training to do it successfully.
Shooting and hunting with our two daughters always put a smile on our faces. The wife and I still get to hunt and shoot with a couple of the grad kids.

Be sure to teach her how to reload and maintain the firearms. Our daughters would seat bullets on occasion but were not into the whole operation.

I am pleased to hear that the tradition still lives on in your family. I am hoping to keep it going in mine as well. Dad is 85 and still shoots with me every chance we get. He loves nothing more than to enjoy watching the kids shoot.

Good for her and you. Kids have unique way to do things well on their first times out. Catch the biggest fish, kill the largest buck and shoot the smallest group.
I am still trying to match some of my first time experiences, 50-60 years later.

I just got done telling her the same thing. I took her fishing and she catches larger fish than i have ever caught in 35 years. She is shooting 1/4" groups out of the gate.
I told her she may have to stay home for PA deer/bear season LOL.

When they pull off one of those great accomplishments and you tell them how great that was, they give you THE LOOK. The one that says "what is the big deal about that?"

6BR savage Mod 12 benchrest
105 berger VLD
100 yards

I think I'm going to sell my guns and find a new hobby.;) I only started shooting in March, but after more than 400 rounds, I am still unable to put a group like that on paper. Great shooting.
