117gr. DTAC - 6x47

Does anyone have a starting place for using the 117 DTAC in the 6x47.
I'd like to get a load for F-Class next year. Semper Fi

I'm currently testing the 115 DTAC in my 6X47 Lapua. H4350 powder, I have gotten them over 3100 FPS but that's a bit stout. 2950-3000 area is a sweet spot, 38-39 gr of powder

What twist are you using for the 115 DTAC in the 6x47?

I'm useing a 1 in 8 twist Mike Rock cut rifled barrel. 26" long on one rifle.

On the other is a Satern Cut rifled barrel, 1 in 7.45 twist and it's just shy of 28" long


Later today I plan to shoot some 600 yd groups and do a bit more testing.

with the Rock barrel I ended up with best accuracy in the 39-40 gr area. 2920 to 2980 fps is a reasonable and accurate area. Now to fine tune in good conditions

I tested from 38 gr to 41 gr in .5 gr increments, conditions are not good today, 38 deg and windy but I wanted to get some idea of where to start.

hi i have just biuld myself a .243 30degree impoved and what to shoot 115gr vld,berger's)and viht n160, as any one tried vit n160 with these bullet wight? and how did it go ? after christmas ill be ! i have been fire froming with 105 senras and 39gr n160 geting 2850fps and 1/4 groups !
