112gr Barnes Match Burner

i know, i know, i mostly shoot berger but im curious.
Anyone out there try them yet? if they're even out yet...not sure they are.?

112gr Match Burner
Length: 1.331"
S.D.: .271
B.C: .624 maybe....?

recommended twist 1:8 hmm, im doubting that one too... wouldn’t you think closer to 1:7? The 110gr smk is 1.335"

i do have a box of their 105gr match burners to try out but havent got around to it yet. Since there’s not much talk at all about them on here(that might be a bad sign)
I will have to post the target results.

I shot some of the smaller 22cal ones. They work well for fireforming if you dont have anything else. I couldnt get em to shoot minute of hat in a gun that shoots anything else in a hole. Ymmv for sure.

i got the 105 Match burners loaded up for my Dasher last night.
they probably wont shoot any better than the nosler RDF i tried. always fun to try something new.
really doubt the 112gr would stabilize in my 1:8

I'm shooting the 140 Match Burners in a 264WM. They average better than 139 scenars in the rifle, which I thought would never happen.

I've come to the general life conclusion of - if something sounds too good to be true, then it's probably not true.

I ignored my own advice this summer and bought a few boxes of barnes MB 112 gr bullets. BBTO varied by 8 thou in my sample of 30 bullets. They seem to be quite sensitive to jump. Stabilized w/ a 7.5 twist barrel. But just wouldn't group.

There is a reason these bullets can be found low 20c/ round... I have wasted quite a bit of time and money not buying quality components to start with.

My Dasher has shot a couple 1/4” 5 shot groups now with the 105gr Burners.
I think I’ll buy more for plinking steel.
