10mm bullet reloading question

Friend gave me some hornady 10mm 200gr
bullets and want to reload them in my 40 cal brass what would be a good powder load for that also would my 40 cal dies work. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Your loading these in .40 S&W or in a 10MM? These bullets will work with either cartridge, but if the dies are set up for .40 S&W the expander and seater dies will have to be re-adjusted to work with the 10MM cases. For .40 S&W Alliant Unique and Power Pistol also Hodgdon Longshot are good choices. For the 10MM Hodgdon Longshot, Alliant Blue Dot and 2400, Accurate #7 and #9 are good choices.

You might find it difficult driving that heavy a round in the 40 and the recoil will be brutal.
