Hornady just released it.

So it's a 7% increase in bc over the 105gr Amax. Never a bad thing.

That's retail, I'm betting they don't break $27/100Only downfall I see as of right now is the price. Time will tell if they are worth it or not.

Eventually they'll come out with a 150s + bullet in the 6.5 caliber and it will rival many if not all the current long range bullet options for 1000 yard competition. Very surprised it hasn't been done yet.
Ya saw that a couple weeks ago. Phenomenal BC if it is the actual true BC. I'm guessing it will be slightly lower. Definitely a different designed Amax type bullet. The 140 Amax was around .62 and now a 7 grain heavier bullet to increase to .69. That's a huge increase. With a newer possibly 155 ish ELD-M bullet, the 6.5 would reign supreme to all the 284 Cal options. IF one is ever released.Hornady sure is trying.
6.5mm 147gr
G1 = .697
G7 = .351

Ya ur right. I saw the new 180 eld-m and it will be a good one. Hard to say but I don't think it will make it to .697 like the 6.5/147. We'll see. Only bad part with that 300 mag is recoil. They are alot more gun to shoot than either the 284 or the 6.5 sibling.Maybe. But they have not released the BC #'s for their new 7mm 180gr eldm.
We will see how well these new bullets shoot and compete against Bergers.
One of my target rifles being a 300winmag, those eldm 225grainers are very very tempting.

Agreed. Barrels have favorites.Yeah, I don't enjoy shooting the 300 all day. If I shoot more than 30 rounds, the muzzle brake gives me a headache !and everyone else near by
The 108 eldm aren't something comp shooters gonna change to, unless those who choose to shoot them win matches.
I'm plenty happy with 105 vld's and 107smk's. Tho it's a good thing to have more variety.
