100gr 6.8spc load on a 270WSM

Howdy folks,

So I am in the search of a reduced load for my Remington SPS 270WSM. I'd like to try and shoot 100 grainers for this coming deer season. I've seen the Hodgdon® H4895® REDUCED RIFLE LOADS, but alas I don't have any of the Hodgdon powder.

Alliant's website has loads for the 6.8spc with a 100gr projectile under RL7 and RL10x. So now you know why I am thinking of shooting such a 6.8 load on my 270WSM.

Has anyone tried such a load, or a similar one? Alliant calls for 28.5gr of RL10x, compared to 62gr of RL15 for a true 270WSM 100gr load.

Any input is appreciated :)

PS:
I've heard rumors of low-powder-volume cases going kaboom, but most people tend to agree that such occasions are more likely due to double/triple/etc charged loads.

I understand the differences between fast and low burning powders, which likely has a correlation on load volume. Anyhow what I am looking at is recoil.

JBM calculates:

25 ft*lbs of recoil for a 140gr with 65gr of RL22 [what I am currently shooting]
19 ft*lbs for a 100gr with 62 gr of RL15 [true 270WSM load]
7.7ft*lbs for a 100gr under 28.5of of RL10x [6.8spc load]
