100 - 200 Yards - 24x or 36x?

I am building a 6mmBR rifle for shooting at 100 yards (majority of the time) and 200 ocassionally. No longer distances available unfortunately. For these distances, I am considering a Weaver T-24 or Weaver T-36 or Sightron 36x. For shooting off a bench only. Recommendations?

Phil,
I've had both. And I sold the T24 ONLY because my eyes aren't what they once were. Your eyesight will make a huge different in the grouping and I now use a T36 on my 6mmbr so I can see the BR target better. In the long run, I'd have to also endorse the T36 as the price difference isn't all that great in term of the benefits you get with the T36. I cannot speak to the Sightron 36X as I've never shot using one.

36 is great unless you shoot in s Florida or any MIRAGE setting . A fixed 36 is a little bit more tan I can use for a 6mm , I usually have better results in those conditions with the 24 . Just my .02

I have both a T24 weaver and the Sightron S2 36X (not big sky). I would recommend the weaver T36 because the turrets are very easy to reset to zero and it is done a positive way. The Sightron you have to loosen some set screws and turn it and then tighten. Not as positive. I have never had them come loose but because they are so hard, I never zero the scope anymore. If you will switch between 100 and 200 then you want something that is easy.

I cannot compare glass but the Sightron is very good, just dim as you would expect.

i also have the weaver t36, it is on my 6PPC,
i have only shot it at 100 and 200 matches.
I was wondering, with that power, Can i see bullet hits at 300 yard??(i understand with lots of mirage and temperature it will be tough):
i shoot matches up in the PNW region, so not often do we get days exceeding 80 degrees during match times

thanks
