10/22 jamming with suppressor problem....

I have a Ruger 10/22 and it shoots well but when I put my GemTech on it blows much of the carbon and burnt powder back in the action and on the mag causing some failure to feed issues. I started to run it dry-no lube at all but does anyone have any advice on what else I can do?
Thank you.

Take a close look at your magazines. Look for excessive crud buildup on the feed ramp which is built into the mag. It doesn't take a whole lot of this stuff (a combination of bullet lube and carbon blowback) to affect the bullet feed on your 10/22.

If the temps were on the cold side, the bullet lube could have been hardening, similar to the glaze on donuts (not the dreaded donuts :p). I noticed the lube on some rimfire ammo "glazing" over last year when I was playing with a 10/22, and causing jams. Just a thought.

This is normal, get used to cleaning it, or get a bolt action.
Some ammo is better than others on cleanliness, like the Norma Tac, which is what we use.
^^^This right here. Suppressed guns are cooler than all get out until you have to clean them. Myself, I'm all but done trying to run a semi auto gun with one on.
I tried a can on a Sig MPX, gun known to plug the gas piston with just normal use, even bought adj piston, train wreck in my book. Somedays I wish I could just take a chop saw to a handful of mine, then it would be out of my head that I need to find a use for them.

If it'll help, you can just go ahead and send all of those troublemakers to me, I promise I'll find a use for them, and to show good faith on my part, I'll even pay for the shipping. ;)

I haven't had any trouble with mine and I can't remember the last time I've cleaned it. I avoid waxy ammo and use only the slightest amount of lube.

Your always going to have more blowback, and that means a dirtier running gun, when you use a suppressor. The suppressor creates back pressure and blows the debris back into the action. Not much you can do about it other than cleaning the gun more often.
